University of Worcester, UK (Project Coordinator)
The University of Worcester is at the forefront of progressive development in its chosen fields of higher education, scholarship and associated research nationally and internationally. UW promotes lifelong learning and many of our students are mature students studying for professional and/or postgraduate qualifications. It is renowned for helping students with ability and commitment to achieve to their potential. The Centre for Inclusive Learning Support at UW has a national and international reputation in the field of disability and its Director has managed 17 funded disability related projects in the last 10 years. Its focus is on research, consultancy, project management and collating/developing resources to support inclusion, particularly with regard to disabled students.
University of Worcester’s key functions within the new project, Qatrain4Students, are as contractor and coordinator. In acting as a partner, UW will focus on the identification, quality assurance, and sharing of resources. This coordinated approach will ensure that the highest quality resources reach maximum numbers of students and will benefit students by extending existing excellent practice. These projects not only enhance the Centre’s own practice but also help others in the University, including academic staff, to become more aware of disabled students’ needs and how they might be addressed.

1. Marie Curie Association, Bulgaria
Marie Curie Association is a non-profit, NGO. The team of the Association has extensive knowledge of issues in relation to mentoring, informal learning, education, training and employment .Experts in different sectors are involved: management; e-learning, legislation, education and etc. Marie Curie Association has managed and co-coordinated several international projects in the field of setting-up mentoring schemes, ODL and e-learning, career guidance, prequalification, employment, laboured law consultancies, mentoring, networks of employers of disability, validation of non-formal and informal learning practices, education, and unemployment mostly for disabled people particularly at graduate and managerial levels, and all have had an emphasis on IT and web-resources, paper-based carriers, Sign language and Braille format. These projects involve more than 7 000 people per annum.
We have been involved in several LdV projects both as contractors/coordinators and partners. Marie Curie has a strong relations with educational and training institutions, national and local authorities – Municipalities; NAVET(National Agency for Vocational Education and Training); SAPD(State Agency for People with Disabilities) and EU networks Workability Europe. It provides research and consultancy for external organisations, and has a large network of contacts. Project management expertise at local, regional and national level. Previous Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig project experience.
The dissemination practice of the association has been very successful, thanks to our PR department which keeps very close relations with all mass media, relevant organisations, decision makers, local and national authorities.

2. University of Plovdiv
Plovdiv University, named in honour of the Bulgarian historian Paisiy Hilendarski, is the city’s leading cultural and scientific institution. It is the largest institution of higher education in Southern Bulgaria.
The University of Plovdiv is built on the foundation laid by the Higher Teacher-Training Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, which opened in July 1961. The Institute was promoted to university status by government decree on 12 January 1972, when it took its present name “Paisiy Hilendarski” Plovdiv University.
A degree in Education was offered for the first time in 1984. The Faculty of Education is a major academic branch of Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv. The Faculty of Education delivers training to 3000 students . The objectives of the Faculty of Education may be defined along two lines, those associated with academic instruction and those that concentrate on educational research. The academic objectives of the Faculty of Education are:
- To offer instruction in various degree-granting programs that meet national and regional demands and standards;
- To help students acquire knowledge and skills in education theory and practice;
- To plan and develop educational and other social activities;
- To assess and forecast trends and processes in the areas of teacher-training and social integration;
- To develop creative approaches to problem solving, as the needs arise in teacher training or other forms of social practice;
- To provide opportunities for practice in educational and other social institutions, as well as in non-governmental organisations;
- To establish links and continuity between the various degree-granting programmes.
The research objectives of the Faculty of Education include:
- Involvement of academic staff and students in research studies;
- Writing and publication of research papers, monographs, textbooks, study guides, reports, articles, and so forth;
- Participating in and holding conferences related to pedagogy;
- Participation in international research projects.
The Faculty of Education was founded pursuant to Decree No 27 of the Council of Ministers of 22 July 1983 and initially offered programs in Primary Education and Preschool Education. The Faculty of Education at Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv offers the following programs:
- Social activity – full-time, leading to B.Ed, and M.Ed.;
- Education – full-time, leading to B.Ed, M.Ed, and PhD;
- Preschool and Primary Education – full-time or part-time, leading to B.Ed, and M.Ed.;
- Special Education – full-time, leading to B.Ed, M.Ed, and PhD;
- Social Education – full-time, leading to B.Ed., M.Ed, and PhD;
- Psychology – full-time or part-time, leading to B.Ed., M.Ed, and PhD;
- Primary Education and a Foreign Language – full-time, leading to B.Ed.;
- Preschool Education and a Foreign Language – full-time, leading to B.Ed.;
- Physical Education – full-time or part-time, leading to B.Ed., M.Ed, and PhD;
- Music – full-time, leading to B.Ed, and M.Ed.;
- Jazz and pop – full-time, leading to B.Ed, and M.Ed.;
- Actor and drama theatre- full-time, leading to B.Ed, and M.Ed.;
Some of the teaching staff have participated in EU programmes. Contacts have been established with universities from USA, German, UK, Russia, Greece, Turkey, Netherlands, Belgium, Polska and international students from EU country have matriculated in some of the Faculty’s programmes.

3. BCD Business Consulting & Development, Turkey
BCD Business Consulting & Development is run by senior management consultants to give advice and support to enterprises on strategic management and on how to identify their own innovative capabilities. Their experience includes project management, business development in multinational environments; and consultantacy work. BCD also has experience of developing and running training programmes and has previously coordinated and managed EU funded projects.
